LAST JANUARY DAY

Yesterday were so much things to do. Although it was only tuesday. Well, quite normal in Berlin, ofcourse.

Anyway, we swinged our butts out of the office, into the siberian evening.

First stop was transmediale, an annual art and digital culture festival, celebrating their 25th (!) year already! This year´s “transmediale 2k+12″ is all about the main theme “in/compatible”. Opening ceremony at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt was yesterday. Amazing building buy the way, love the architecture!

Afterwards we went direction Ostbahnhof, for the monthly CDR Berlin meeting. For those of you who dont know it yet:

“CDR is a music platform for sharing & developing your ideas and works in progress. Wether you are starting out, already in the Beatport Top20 or just enjoy listening, CDR Berlin is about unreleased songs, remixes and edits which are played in a neutral space to a like-minded audience. In workshops you can learn from the ones who know – before YOUR tune gets played during the Open CDR session. Come along, bring your own track on CD/USB-Stick or upload it to our dropbox. CDR connects producers, labels, DJs and music lovers- simply for the love of the music.”

A concept we truely support. Unfortunately the old location Chez Jacki has closed its doors, due to some investors who bought the whole area and are planning to build another luxury hotel on the Spree riverside.

Anyway, new location will be from now on the Kantine at Berghain. So right on the other side of Ostbahnhof, next to the legendary club Berghain. This time we were too late for the workshops by Pole (Scape Music) and Morphosis (Delsin Records), but just on time to catch Pole playing one of his deep live sets.

TWIST IT!

A new underground party concept was born last month!

 

Twist it! brings you the best from the scene, bigger names and smaller upcoming talents gather forces to give you a night to remember. ( Well I sure remember the first edition last month where I celebrated my birthday )

 

Location: Check. SK Robinson, the old My Name is Barbarella transformed into a fresh, cosy and spheric club.  ( Skalitzerstr. 36, 10999 Berlin, DE )

Audience: Check. Met among a lot of friends very openminded, funny, beautifull party people.

Residents: Check. Yannick Robyns is doing the line ups, and with his excellent taste, nothing can go wrong.
